Billboard &
OOH Lab
A living collection of copy-led outdoor advertising concepts. Anti-safe. Anti-stock. Built to stop traffic, earn photos, and spread without a single paid boost.
The best billboard is the one people photograph.
OOH advertising in 2025 doesn't work the way it used to. A billboard that just delivers a message is wallpaper. A billboard that surprises, provokes, or makes someone laugh earns a photo — and a photo earns organic social reach worth more than the media buy. We design for the phone camera, not the highway.
The Problem with Most OOH
Brands put billboards up and expect passive absorption. They use the same layout (logo top right, hero image, tagline), same safe copy, same stock smiles. Nobody photographs a billboard that looks like every other billboard. Nobody shares it. It becomes part of the visual noise people have learned to ignore.
Our Approach
Every concept starts with the question: "Would someone stop their car to photograph this?" If the answer is no, we go again. Copy-led first — words that earn the stop before the visual even registers. Then design that amplifies the copy's disruption rather than competing with it. Culture-native references that only work in the specific market they're placed in.
Rules we break every campaign. Rules we never break.
Rules We Break
Safe copy that doesn't commit. Stock imagery that could belong to any brand. Layouts borrowed from the brand guidelines without question. Campaigns that say what the brand wants to say instead of what the audience wants to stop for. Polished over provocative.
Rules We Keep
Copy that works before design is added. A single, undeniable idea per board. Cultural specificity over universal appeal. The ability to explain the campaign in one sentence. If it doesn't earn a double-take, it doesn't go up.
Concepts from the lab.
These are experiments — some built for specific clients, some built purely to test an idea. All of them started with a question: "What if a brand was brave enough to say this on a billboard?"
From concept to rollout playbook.
We don't just hand over a billboard design. We deliver the full campaign architecture: the idea, the copy variations, the placement strategy, the rollout plan, and the social amplification strategy to extend the OOH moment across digital. A billboard that only lives on the billboard is a missed opportunity.
